I have less than 1 dollar each in my checking and savings accounts. My next payment is not until next Wednesday. I am trying to avoid paying with credit card because I may be forced to declare bankruptcy soon with all of my bills. I could only pay $10 so far out of my $54 Internet bill; I hope they give me till Wednesday to pay the rest. Ugh.

You should call the internet company, and askthem if they wouldn't mind it if you pay on Wednesday.

They would probably agree to this, especially if you have a good previous payment history.

Filing bankruptcy can be a viable solution in some cases. We did so knowing that my husband job was going under, but the amount of people who have admitted to filing surprised me.

many companies will indeed be willing to allow a (short) delay in payments.

and indeed, there is no shame in filing bankruptcy, it can be a great help in starting anew, and with the economic climate of the past few years, you'd be surprized how often this happens (2 in my own family, another 5 in my group of aquantances).
