I'm sorry but pictures of harmed people or animals aren't allowed...I'll leave the link though, anyone can see the picture there.

And yeah, it's extremely sad and disturbing. :/

Should even the link and this thread be placed in the age regulated section???
Kids are curious and are not restricted from PPR.
Just a thought

.....this crisis in Syria really needs to be solved soon, it should have been ended a year ago, but the west still sits idly by doing nothing. You really want your day ruined? Look up white phosphorus.

There is some hope, though. The UK said it will take "thousands" of refugees.

There isn't anything 'the west' can do. 'the west' created this mess to begin with. I don't see the situations in Syria, Iraq, and Libya getting better any time soon. There are no good guys or fabled moderates, we have the Kurds and that's it really. The Syrian moderates just get slaughtered and their weapons taken. Like al-Nusra is the moderate opposition in Syria lol.

The US should never arm another rebel on any continent, how much more death and destruction are we propagating?

If the US and Europe didn't cheer on(and probably a lot lot more) then maybe these countries wouldn't be in total anarchy and there would be far fewer dead and displaced.

Will anybody admit that removing Muammar Gaddafi was a mistake at this point?

We need to stop making the situation worse

Fair enough, I've moved it to "in depth life adult discussion"

Thank you.
I just didn't want minors to be exposed because of their curiosity.
It is pretty intense content.

I was pretty much exposed to such tragedies since I was like 6 maybe, It never occurred to me that such real life stories should be hidden from minors.

Maybe there should be a sub-forum for politics restricted to adult audience.

So far in Europe, Germany is taking in the biggest portion.

Yeah, that kind of subforum would be a good idea. That picture really is disturbing, even though i've also been exposed to such things ever since I was 9.

In some places in our world no age group is sheltered from violence, death, butchering of animals, cruelty, abuse, war, explosions, etc...

There are people who would not even find these images unusual or shocking(frankly I did not).

However, I realize that some youth on this site have lead very sheltered existences and may find the content very disturbing, it is for their best interest that I raised the concern.

Personally, I will not avert my eyes from the truth of human insanity and I have viewed many images of war, cartel violence, homicides, extreme child abuse/neglect, etc...

To me this image, while sad, is extremely mild.

I will not live in a fantasy about the truth of our species, I choose to see the very best and worst of what we are.

But I am an adult, I have chosen my approach deliberately.

Fwiw, to those who have been forced to grow up exposed to human evil/tragedy, I wish that was not the case.

This world is Dystopia Planetia. :(

This is a photo I took months ago from taxi on my way home:

I believe they were Syrian refugee, the dirty-blondish hair color the little girl had is a typical Syrian trait, especially among the Kurds.
