Hi,

I'm very new to this and am still trying to get my head around coping with life in general. For as long as I can remember I've been depressed and anxious and, uncomfortable or uncommunicative in social situations. I get hyper sensitive at times and, other times I just don't know how to react. I'm hoping that this forum may help me in developing strategies in living my life and, being a better husband and father.

Welcome, Sir. You've come to the right place.

I'm a New Yorker; you might be from Melbourne.

You'll probably fit right in within the Parents' section.

Yes I live near Melbourne. About 45 minutes down the mornington peninsula. I'll check out the parents section thanks.

I am also a father and a husband, as well as an Aspie, and all I can say is, you take one day at a time. You'll do nothing more perfect or imperfect than I'll do, but that's alright. Whether you're an Aspie or not, being a parent is a journey of self discovery, with many pitfalls and successes along the way.
