I would agree with pretty much all of the names on this list.
This sort of thing was so typical of the 80s, exactly why I don't know. I never contributed a red cent to any of them. Along the same lines, I am suspicious of all corporate-style charity campaigns (Stand Up to Cancer, for example). I can't believe much of the money actually goes to help people. At least when you give money to a panhandler, you know you're helping that person, whether or not you agree with how they'll choose to spend it.
