At the end of the month, I have to move from my current apartment into a new apartment. I dislike changing my environment, and my home environment has been the same for 3 years. It's my space, my alone time, the area where I spend most of my time. So I'm very unhappy about having to move. I kept things as similar as possible (moving from one basement apartment to another basement apartment, same area of town, etc) but it's still going to be an adjustment.

I think in a sort of protest, I haven't packed anything yet. Any suggestions on how to make moving less stressful?

Maybe think about how you will do things in your new apartment, and where everything will go so that it becomes familiar in your mind.

Plan how you will get to places you regularly go to from your new apartment -- maybe even travel those routes before you move in so they feel more familiar.
