aww. What is the scale? It looks like it is on quilted kitchen paper, But that would make it pretty small.

That's funny, I assumed that was a white quilted bedspread, but now that you mention it, it probably is a paper towel.

Pretty, pretty turtle!

very cute! I grew up with turtles in my house as my brother is a fanatic. We even had a full grown snapping turtle in a pit in our backyard. Don't even ask...

Enjoy your new little friend!

I don't have a name for him yet, as i'm probably only keeping him till the end of summer. I saved him from getting killed by the lawn-mower at school, so i'm just keeping him till he gets a little bigger and setting him free in a protected area.

I have a cat, but I keep the turtle in a container so she can't get at him :)

Well i would be worried that something might happen to him during the mailing process. I know they do mail turtles thru the mail cause we have done it. Maybe you can try www.kingsnake.com and look under the classified section for someone selling turtles. You would have to make sure they are healthy thou. We got turtles that died because they did not have the proper exposure to sunlight to make their shell hard. They need full-spectrum light or natural sunlight or they will get a soft shell and die. And glass will filter out the light they need, so they have to have direct sunshine or a special lightbulb.

wow, i was kidding... i didn't know you could actually mail turtles.

what, do you stick a stamp on the shell and put 'em in the mailbox? i guess they don't call them box turtles for nothing.

Actually they were very small hatchlings and they packed them in a small, round tupperware with damp spagnum moss.
