Once the world was ruled by the strongest.
Then the strong got outsmarted and the smartest ruled.
The smart made money and passed on their riches to their children, even if they weren't smart, and so the rich ruled the world.
Then people rebelled against the rich, they made democracy, and so the world was ruled by the most charismatic.

Who will lead the world of tomorow?

Your thoughts?

Well, the richest definitely rule, but at least in America, image is everything in business, so I'd say it's the most charismatic is more specific.

Just 3 days ago I parked next to a SUV, with military emblems, etc. with a bumper sticker that really disturbed me for some reason: "Either Lead, Follow, or Get Out of the Way."

I hate that mentality. I'm not a leader or a follower. I'm an observer. I felt like parking perpendicular immediately behind this SUV, waiting for driver to emerge, and saying, "Oh, am I in your way?"

These are the people (complete with bumper sticker) that 'lead,' Deluded, but they'll lead their followers right off the cliff.

you shouldn't pay much attention to this. He's just a sheep who wants to do things quickly. Live his life because life is lived. And not trying to get more out of it. You on the other hand, as an observer, see different things and learn different things.

I could get behind the wise ruling the world, but is that really likely to ever happen?

Reminds me of something my father once said; Children plot to take over the world from the day they are born, and they always succeed at it in the end.
If you do take over the world though, who of the above options will you make your ruling class?
