Went looking around, found what I should have been looking for.

Greater Durability, Less Spin!! !
! !! BETTER MILEAGE!! ! (not really, actually this is an inflated claim. The truth is; this thread has terrible mileage)

ANYONE COMES WHILE EVERYONE GROWS (not really proven yet)
This is where KNOW BODY NOSE (Well who knows about that)
Something new here every time (again who knows)
Deep focus Discussion ( Yep all sides here, Focus as narrow and abstract as you can muster)

Cool Fun Stories and musings (Write em if you got em)
This Thread will live!

Oh, well, I hope you come back soon bigblock. You're going and we've hardly got to know you yet...maybe it's the Aspie way sometimes...but a lot of us once we know about AS and don't really need support so much as other Aspies to have a chat and a laugh with...I hope you'll pop back if you feel like it and good luck. :)

Would a diagnosis change anything?

You can still be yourself after the diagnoses but just don't use it as an excuse to expect the whole world evolve around you.

It seems like when someone reads about AS and it sounds like them, finally knowing what's wrong with them, they give up on themselves.

I didn't give up on myself, maybe for a little while, but then tried again.

Woah...let's slow it down a little :)

Firstly, if you feel that this site has anything to offer you, and you want to stay, then do! There are folks here who are diagnosed AS, some who think they might be, but who haven't been diagnosed, and some folks who are NT - not Aspie - so you don't have to be diagnosed to be here. Some of us just don't know for sure and aren't particularly bothered about finding out but just feel at home here, so you won't be excluded here - it's a 'broad church'.

I don't know if you're Aspie or not. I'm not a professional or an expert or anything...what do you think? I think I'd advise you to have a look at the experiences of others here and see if you have similarities...read as much as you can about it. General Autism Forum is a good place to start. You menyion driving for one thing - there have been a few threads about driving you might want to take a look at. I don't think there's a single 'symptom' that says 'Aspie' - people seem to have different strengths and weaknesses within the syndrome. People with AS are not all the same. Have you thought about getting a professional diagnosis? Some people prefer to, others don't. You ask what if you're not an Aspie, what are you? Well, yourself! You're entitled to be yourself whatever that is :)

I don't know if that has helped at all but maybe it has. Hopefully someone will come along who's better at words than me. But I would say, don't panic about it at all. You're the same person who's managed in life up to this time so whether you are or not, you'll cope with it. I was in my late 40's before I discovered AS and for me it was like the answer to so many questions, then two years getting used to the idea, lol. I'm still not certain but I know as much as I need to right now. For me the knowledge of Aspergers, especially the social awkwardness aspect (this affects some with AS more than others) was like putting pieces of a jigsaw together. At first it felt like a very BIG DEAL, but now it's sunk in it feels like who I am, a bit 'yeah, so what?' Life goes on. You're still the same person you always were, with maybe more insight into why you feel you're a little different to the people around you?

You can always ask questions in General Autism or here, but you'll probably get more replies in General Autism. Don't worry about posting, many people when they come here want to know all about it asap. That's natural. I think you'll get a lot of help and support here at WP.

Ps. You can still be cool and be Aspie at the same time 8) They aren't mutually exclusive :D

no way your approach to things around here is great. your avitar Rocks and I'm a dog person (a Shepherd person that is)

Important confidence inspiring writing you popped on this thread. Ran with that momentum you helped me with.

Stumbling a bit but kind people are here to help.

So far on this site, I have had 50% fun and 50% self absorbed shame. I am gearing up to explore more of the former and less of the bull.

Meet you on thread killing soon hope fully.
One thing you said

This I used to feel, and I am coming back to it, but first I must learn How to be a Good Communicator, Unlike when I strted in here.

Oh yeah I will suffer the pro diagnosis (anxiously waiting for the appointment) because for me closure will birth new beginnings.

Sometimes Someone can make the unfamiliar comfortable, Thank you for this gift.

Its like seeing the fog evaporating away in the morning sun.

A Dr is inherently helpful by nature.
What if a some what intelligent AADD with generalized anxiety and coincidental conditions came on here and thought he was in the autistic spectrum, He would need to look else where for reasons, before he alienates himself even further. Open to the Idea of Asperger's but Must have Objective Confirmation before I can take it to heart.

Put With teeth in the beast today, and heard it again, but finally understood his words
it sounds to me that REZNER IS AN AUTIE. The album is great again.

Gonna dig into some tool tomorrow, see if there is anything waiting to be discovered.

Just nailing this post down, lol.

So are you going for a diagnosis then bigblock? Hope all goes well. I guess it will be good to know one way or the other.

There are members here with other things as well as AS, anxiety, bipolar, depression etc. so whatever it is you have ('you have, is that correct English :? - doesn't sound right but you know what I mean) so there are members here who will understand and be able to offer support, I'm sure. Anyway, maybe I killed your thread :)

Easy writing styles, slang, proper english, legal speak, here is where it will live (albiet half dead.)

Only thing about seeing a psychiatrist; I have a solid, stable, positive lifestyle, that doesn't beg for massive changes. It's about understanding others personal needs. My wife is prepared to start talking more directly about her needs, on time. We feel that mutual understanding is the answer were looking for. Other diagnosis that could be treated are a scary thought. I believe in Mind power, and communication, Not side effect causing drugs that no one fully understands. Scarry stuff.

People who know me learn to love me and i love them. I seem to think i'm ASD.

My time on this site has made me think, Aspie is some one to be respected. I like it here.

If I become an AS kinda diagnosed guy, ill let you know. (I broke the mold)

Any ways this thread just got a shot of life. BlockHead thanks you kind sir. cat.

Thought for the day: Thoughts are like immortal leaves in an eternal wind. You can catch one and hold onto it and call it your own, its not at all. It was just passing in the wind. It did not begin with you and it will not end with you.

Living a Subjective life, is like being leggo. 'A new boy every day'

I cried and cried after my dx. Then the psych thought that there was some-thing else wrong with me.
