ok i have aspergers and have had it my whole life but i need to know if this is normal or if i am just plain insane ive been drinking to mind you but i got to get this off my chest. like i was at the gym earlier and there was this young lady wearing a thong and a bikini showing off her body and her legs and i couldnt help but look at her very very nice legs and i was trying to becareful so she wouldnt notice me looking or having even looked at all. I want to know is this normal when i see a girl or a woman rather wearing short shorts or a skirt i cant help but notice their legs and i feel very bad about it i mean i dont have a gf and im 25 years old just about and still a virgin and am not the best looking of people but i always tend to fantasize i dont know if thats my asperger comming out of me or if its just human male nature but it just bugs me at times makes me wish i had my own woman

It is completely normal. Just don't openly stare because that would be rude. A quick glance is fine and wanting to look is completely normal and just part of being human. Women look at men too. Don't feel guilty. This is just what all people do. But definately keep being careful that you aren''t openly staring.

If your in your mid 20's, look for single moms in their late 30s or early 40s. Older women tend to like younger men finding them attractive, just as men do.

If you're 25, as you say, earlier, then, no, it hasn't been 25 years.

It's normal. I suspect it's more normal with aspies. I've been called out on it several times. I suspect there's a couple things that make it worse (speaking from my point of view)...

Poor impulse control. Perhaps being less able to read body language leads to being caught more often. Also, I think having a less visual mind leads "needing" to look more often, instead of looking once and just visualizing afterwards. And obviously having less varied life expirience.

In 40 Year Old Virgin, they have a scene where the guy says to use "your peripherals". I don't know if that's a real trick, but it's something I've never been able to do.

One suggestion no one else seems to have mentioned, but I have noticed helps somewhat... Watch porn. Also, if you're going to look, flick your eyes, don't move the head.

I'm told this is normal behavior. I've been told this by the many male friends, acquaintances, colleagues, and associates who noticed that I don't do it. I am often oblivious to my surroundings, lost in my thoughts (or simply keeping my eyes closed because the ambient light is too bright), so I don't notice and don't stare.

But apparently I'm missing a lot, or so I'm told.

good, that's healthy. i think those people wear those things for a reason. they'd have to be utterly unfeeling to not be aware that a thong attracts attention. Interestingly, in Europe, staring is acceptable. When some American women come back the the US, they find they miss the attention. *shrug* i forgot where i read that.

It's totally normal. Every guy in the world does that. Talk to her next time. Say "hi" or something. Don't act like you're coming on to her or anything. Just be friendly.
