I'm starting to set goals in life with growing desire to achieve them. Starting with the goal itself, followed by reasons, traits to be successful, and steps to get there. Wanna share yours?

1. Career in fuel cell research
Reasons:
- having a career
- intellectual satisfaction & fulfillment
- empowers me to be significant
Characteristics & Skills required:
- imaginative
- hard working & driven
- knowledgeable
- work well with others
Steps to get there:
- education
- develop relationships with researchers
- obtain experience & get into the mess of research
- develop my own dream & start playing

2. Partner in crime
Reasons:
- happiness & surprises
- love & hanky-panky
Characteristics & Skills required:
- good looking
- easy going
- compatible
Steps to get there:
- Get out and mingle with people
- be confident
- be available and approachable

3. Big house by the ocean
Reasons:
- financial security
- comfort
Characteristics & Skills required:
- making money
- lucky
- I want nothing but the best
Steps to get there:
- develop career
- make connections with people
- marry rich? maybe

Everytime I set goals, I literally go crazy and can't keep them straight depending on my mood and circumstances.

Wow! It's all I can do to come up with a grocery list! I'm impressed! Sounds like a recipe for success.

What's that old saying? "If you fail to plan, you plan to fail." and "If you don't know where you are going, you'll probably end up there." That pretty much describes me, because I've never had a clue what I want or how to get it, or even how to think about it.
