I bet that what happens is that the school district will quietly pay off the family, make sure there is a clause in the settlement where the family is not to talk about it, and then it will be business as normal for the next child.

I have seen cases where the teachers themselves were the bullies so I am in no way surprised by this.

Very simple: Dehumanise them.

They do it and sleep at night because that is what the system and society expect of them. They are trained by every societal cue and system cue to be the same and to force out anything that is different.

You can sue for that? 8O I thought basically all Aspies had been bullied to roughly that extent. I know I was. On the upside, my skin is now thicker than a rhinoceros's (the only way I was able to survive middle school).

Generally they will grow up. Most (not all, but most) of my former bullies eventually matured and became responsible, respectful, and tolerant adults. I am even friends with several of them now.

I've gotten suicidal from bullying, and also paranoia and an inferiority complex and *my* parents don't sue!

I don't even knwo why they is getting media attention, sadly bulllying happens everyday. Sueing the school is not going to make bullying stop and will not take the pain away from what happened. Sadly, it's just a you have to move on type of thing which is sad thing to do since no noe should go thorugh it. I was tormented in school, physically, emotionally and verbally.

It will if everyone does it - or just a few hundred. Well failing that a few Cho's would sort it.

Either method is better that your approach of singing "We Shall Overcome" anyway.

Why doesn't anyone pick a better song than WSO or Kumbaya? Like, IDK, Anarchy in the UK? God Save the Queen? Something by the Ramones or The Clash?

Because picking a better song means the message is less direct. "We Shall Overcome" is internationally famous and perhaps beyond that level.

I, personally, am from another planet and know that song.

There is a point beyond fame :)

Sadly there is no method that is goign to just take away teasing, as much as i would like it to stop. Sueing is like hte American Dream in my opinion, if you don't like someone .. just sue 'em. That's sadly how it is. But personally, I would rather not sing a song, there is no song that needs to be sung.. but thanks for the suggestion.
