Look folks it's really simple. The idea of finding a cure is seeking to improve with intent for ultimate functional normalcy. If you cannot socialize well or so called normally I do not see that as a big deal. The protests were self-destructive against a cure and well were embarrassing to higher functioning people. I am higher functioning and get the help I need. I don't want to see that kind of stuff anymore less there is real reasons. I thank folks for caring about autism and my job is to function well and be productive. I find this whole thing simple other folks have their ideologies creating anger. I'm going to pick them a part intellectually, publish them online, share them with professionals that will then forward to there national contacts and I got a mission. That mission is simple as well. I'm going to get people more included, do the inspiring speak, be nice and not take the whole label thing to seriously and just do my thing.

Enough with the chicken pooh an horse you know what. Play with the words, redefine symbolic speak, create maliciousness where there is none like the other pride advocates do and you going to have the likes of me putting feet in mouths but not much effort to it as it's already there. What I mean to conclude by saying this is folks got the opportunity to support research to create improvement and if folks want to play with abortion politics and get people all pissed off about it welcome to mainstream politics. No hiding behind a label in it anymore it's done to much harm and sucked to many people into the idea the world is against them and hates them and all.

I should find a good kitty cat video on youtube to post here. Something funny. Wait I think I found one.

I think all he was trying to say was that we were agreeing with you but you argued with us anyway.

Because, for the most part, I do agree with you now that I know what you stand for. You do use alot of 'advocate speak' which is fine when you're at the podium. You might need to 'dumb it down' for the rest of us though (not that I think anyone is dumb - it's just a figure of speech). You know how hard I've tried to understand what you were preaching. ;)

I read some where about a parent that has two kids with Autism and they said that if there was a cure he wouldn't want them to be cured. What about the kids, if they could understand having a normal life would they want it? You just can't look at the aspect of the parents not wanting their child to be diffrent, whats best for the children? Would you rather them be succsesful, or for them to live with autism their whole lifes?

If the children's lives are being risked in a way that violates the law the parents should be locked up. Otherwise parents have the moral and ethical say so. It is not my decision to make.

Those two things are not always mutually exclusive... sometimes they can be both...

A label is seen as a label. So when politicians mean well by saying they want to rid the planet of ASD's they mean it in a good way. So people get puffed up like a pissed kitty cat over it and don't consider that.

Also consider genus genes coexist sometimes with autism and sometimes not. Additionally the value of life is so great for people with ASD that people make so much awareness and attention to help. Not necessary because the value of life is judged bad.

I think it's best to reply kind of like this song when people are upset. Find some sense of humor and move on. I think some folks want to disrupt the autism politics for adverse ideology reasons. To create change to move the mountains of societal obstacles we got to work together.

I am not 'anti-cure' I would not take a cure myself, but the doesn't mean that other people can't.
But I do agree that autistic children would not get much of a say, the parents would most likely have them cured anyway.

How do you view cure? A cure may simply be improved functionalism to the realm of normalcy but still holding intact unique qualities due to neurology. Just to the point no adverse symptoms exists but still traits. Not much can be done if you disagree with children receiving a cure that is parents rights and some treatments are not effective in adulthood so that is a delima.

Cure... as in 'cure' cure.
Getting rid of autism and making someone NT.

Cure is based on the idea in PR that autism is what hinders. Public relations is sort of generic like that. They mean well but politicians are not scientists and cure means remedy and a remedy for one individual is not the same for the other as symptomatology hinders in sub-symptom vs the another individual not even relevant or not hinders specifically in that symptom in a way that it prevents quality of life functionalism specifically. Cure is a needed mode of awareness to help autism research agendas compete for attention. Myself running an autism employment program donated $1,100.00 worth of autism candle inventory to the local American Cancer Society and they sold all of it. People with autism and those that have to do with autism somehow can also help cure agendas for other good pursuits. No need to pin one against the other directly or indirectly because when cure agendas seek awareness they are technically competing.

Your choices are intact but for the sake of your beliefs you are in Pr attempting to evade other peoples human rights to a cure for adverse symptoms. I'd happily protest this form of autism pride at any walk in which they protest people seeking a cure. The law already holds intact an individuals right to not receive treatment yet still others are attempting to evade the progress of this choice for others. While it's not criminal I view it as something that is something like criminal.
