I have a new blog that I started on New Year's Day.

http://onewithwings.blogspot.com/

So far, I haven't posted anything specific to Autism or Asperger's, but I feel compelled to do so. There are so many things to be said on the topic that I'm not sure where to start! Most things have been covered elsewhere on the web.

I want to post about my personal experience living with Asperger's while only recently having received a diagnosis and the struggles I went through as a child, adolescent, and young adult.

I am also considering posting about autism-related organizations and dissecting their stance and intentions with regards to the ASD community.

One other thing I want to do is compile a list of resources regarding Autism/Asperger's, because I have struggled to find such a list on the web. It has been difficult for me to find such resources, and it would be nice to have many compiled in one place.

Lastly, I'm considering a post about Autism myths vs realities, but this would take a lot of research on my part, and I'm thinking it might be better to save this one for later.

Does anyone else have some suggestions of ASD-related topics they would like to see covered?

You know, something that is really challenging one my friends at the moment is trying to find explanations of how thinking autistically is different from thinking neurotypically. Perhaps you could post something about how the two differ using practical examples (if you can).

Honestly, that is the best way to do it.

Jump in with both feet.

At least that's what I did in my blog. I would link it, but this is my first post and the board thinks I might be a spammer. (wayoutonthecorner on the blogspot

I have found it is effective to speak about it, but not focus on it. While I have AS, I am not defined by it... but I am one of those people who refuses to be defeated by his brain
