I agree completely. And that motor problems crap? I might of had that at one point, but Parkour training took care of that. I want to know why other people can't just accept us as different instead of inferior. Everything I say and do is never taken seriously. Why? Because I have AS. I'm sick of being treated like I don't exist. I sick of being treated like I'm not a person. There's nothing for them to "cure" except our way of thinking. That's something that they will never be able to do.

DarkRellen has a good point. Even with all I've accomplished, I'm sure if I left Michigan I seen as inferior. Autism is a difference, not something that makes us less human than others.

By "society?" Who exactly is society? A lot of different people, that's who. Plenty of people have told me my mind works quite beautifully.

See above.

I have no idea what you mean by ripping up limitations. It's not as if you can just crumple them up and throw them away like trash.

Never are we told that we can succeed in life without assistance.

You're kidding, right? Then perhaps you can explain to me why I've had to fight for my kids to get assistance in school for over eight years now, in spite of the fact that the schools themselves were the one's who told us our kids were on the spectrum.

But hey, you're right. The world sucks and it's all "their" fault.

Now before I start I don't want a cure either. I have been discriminated my whole life for being "different" I've been told i have an incurable disease. Now I don't like being discriminated against. But the only way it seem i wouldn't be discriminated against is if i was NT. But I'm not. The world is telling me that in order for me to not be discriminated against that means giving up my identity, who I am, what defines me. And I don't know about anyone else but i refuse to give up me.
