Do not. What you're suggesting is, quite frankly, an insult, that will most likely be detrimental in a few ways. I'd rather it didn't happen, and be put in the bin with all the other bad ideas.
Okay. Explain your reasoning on why you think my project is a bad idea. I'm not Superman, and we all make mistakes. Of course, everyone has their opinions that they are entitled too.
Let me put it this way: During the segregation in America, when, for example, there were separate facilities, one for white people, and one marked "colored." For activists during that time, theme parks weren't very high on the list.
What the hell does that have to do with publishing a guide to help parents of special needs kids find a good place to take them?
It's an analogy between the two.
No, it isn't. It's an obvious attempt on your part to discourage SariaFan931 from following her dreams of making a difference for autistic spectrumites everywhere.

Ah ... I see ...

So what you seem to want is to have no one else to compete against your "Administration".

Well, why not just keep your cute little social group and let someone else do a better job for the rest of us?

Except it will, as per all the points I've made that you can't or won't refute. Trying to rationalise it away with a few anecdotes won't magically make it harmless.
And where is the evidence to back up YOUR claims? I doubt that you really have a "local social group" to go places with, so drop the arrogance and explain why you are trolling this thread.

As if the decision was yours to make ...

Do you not see how silly that looks? I am entitled to have a say on such maters, as they do in fact concern me.

If, for example, a gay person was to talk about laws that restrict gay rights, it's nonsense to tell them that "it's not your decision," as it directly affects them.

It's also incredibly counter productive, because you're straw manning and misrepresenting genuine criticisms and grievances as,"Oh, you're just trying to give orders."

Yes, it is. It's not my fault if you have difficulty with it.

That is correct, it's an attempt to dissuade someone from doing, what is clearly a bad idea.

Do you understand what that was in response to?

Olive oil mum, proclaimed that she's talked to various groups, and claimed that they told her that a "guide" is something that they need. Because I happen to be an administrator for our local, I explained that we in fact DON'T need such a thing, and DON'T need places to provide special treatment.

The reason you're having to resorting to ad hom that attacks my motives, is because you don't have a rational argument as to why it's something that should happen. Just accept the facts and admit that it's a bad idea.

Not even a scintilla of the apology that you owe to SariaFan931, so get started.

I don't owe anyone that, this looks like an accusation to me.

Instead of going on an ad hom tirade, just be a better person, and admit to the facts. Just admit that it's not a good idea.

Found the accusation.

Why did you send this to Booyakasha, XFilesGeek, and Kiprobalhato?

Moromillas invaded a thread just to discourage a young girl from acting on her dreams to provide guidance for Aspies everywhere. His demands are way out of the line of simply expressing opinion. Please intervene. Thank you.

Fnord

Were you hoping that they're too daft to understand real trolling? Were you hoping that one of them would just glance at the thread and give out some punitive measure as a knee jerk reaction?
A troll isn't someone that you disagree with, then accuse of all sorts of nonsense.

The post you linked to has no "demands," and isn't an "invasion" either. This, along with the message being titled as "Trolling behavior" is incredibly dishonest and appalling. and Guess what, making up such bold accusations with bare faced lies, won't magically make a guide a good idea either.

Listen Moronzilla. I have handled and fired guns tougher than you and your words. If you don't like my idea, that's fine. You're entitled to your opinion. But if you want to act like you have a baseball bat inside your derriere, I won't put up with you and your sour attitude! I'm anti-cure and pro-acceptance. I love being an Aspie. Don't take my kindness for weakness.

Besides, many people are on my side routing for me, and I got the okay from Kings Island's PR manager to do the review.

Saria,

I think that your idea is magnificent! Helping others is a noble activity. I've been to 4 parks in the area - 6 Flags, Disneyland/California Adventure, Knotts Berry Farm, and Universal Studios. I don't know if Seaworld San Diego counts, but I've been there too!

Let me know how you want the write-ups, and I'll see what I can do.

Moromillas,

Did you know that posting a PM without the sender's permission is a bannable offense?

See you around ...

If you object so strongly to this simple criticism, then what are you going to do when others object? At what point do you listen to the criticism? When even more places of business view us as having something horribly wrong with us? Is that when you listen.

That's okay. Sometimes when you face tough criticism, you know you're doing your job right. I don't give a hoot what YOU think! And if I come across someone with your opinion on the whole thing, it's their opinion and they're entitled to it.

I don't see such a rule, or can't find one.

I did, however, find this one:
"2. Personal attacks.
This includes insinuation, ridicule and personal insults, regardless of whether direct or indirect. Attacking an opinion, belief or philosophy is acceptable, but attacking the person making the comments is not."

I'd definitely call what you've done a personal attack.

Autism Speaks does the same thing. They don't care about mine or anyone else's opinion, especially if it doesn't match their agenda. Just keep on giving parents "hope" at the thought of getting rid of the spectrum.

Same here. "Autism Speaks Does NOT Speak for Me!", as the popular saying goes.
