In my personal opinion, racism isn't a problem. I hope you respect my right to freedom of speech. Racism is over emphasised by the media and is really no longer a problem in the modern world. Plus, I prefer white people a bit more than I like black people.

I think national TV news programs see race as an issue. I do not know enough about politics to say if it really is a national issue

Locally, it may be an issue, perhaps even a strong issue, for better or worse. But many local issues are not what the national media propose as issues.

Too many people see racism everywhere. But it exists because people it seems are hardwired to fear and dislike people different from them.

It's called "Freedom of Speech and Press", not "Freedom of Racist Speech and Press".
