Is there any way to let people know, to send out a consumer alert.

The place I am thinking of is The Pittsburgh ZOO and PPG aquarium. I worked there as a groundskeeper, no longer do for reasons too much to get into here. But there are a lot of things there that a guest on the autism spectrum would have a hard time dealing with. I tried, as a someone on the "outside" to talk to management about these problems and they acted (or were) clueless.

Meanwhile, other zoos accommodate at least children with autism, such as large clean restrooms, quiet rooms to escape to and also, materials that tell what to expect when they visit. Our zoo has none of that and there is much more I can tell. There seems to be no interest on the part of management and the CEO does not speak to individual people. So how can I send out a "consumer alert". Has anyone else encountered a situation like this?

First of all, I assume because you worked there you raised this internally. If you haven't done, do this first.

Then I'm afraid not many people are interested :( I've tried this with a football stadium I used to like to go to. Best I've done is tell people on here.

I wrote letters to the newspaper but got ignored.

However, you can always try things like the local newspaper. Especially if you mention children. And especially because you worked there.

For some reason, people don't seem to care about autistic adults or even know that we exist.
