It's a stupid question, but I'd probably consider myself more of a conservative on most issues. Economically, I support something like democratic socialism.

democratic socialism

Democratic socialism is a political philosophy that advocates political democracy alongside social ownership of the means of production with an emphasis on self-management and democratic management of economic institutions within a market or some form of decentralized planned socialist economy.

decentralized planned socialist economy. ???

A socialist economic system is characterised by social ownership and operation of the means of production that may take the form of autonomous cooperatives or direct public ownership wherein production is carried out directly for use.

Let me see... The vast majority of people, many of whom can not do basic math, decide how to run the economy, (top down???) but in a decentralized way. And the only things that are produced are those for "direct use"??? So no actual buying and selling???

Welcome to the bastard offspring of HUmpty dumpty : “When I use a word,” Humpty Dumpty said, in rather a scornful tone, “it means just what I choose it to mean—neither more nor less.” “The question is,” said Alice, “whether you can make words mean so many different things.” “The question is,” said Humpty Dumpty, “which is to be master—that's all.”

and the marx brothers :-)

I am in the minority here and I answered conservative even though I myself am a liberal. There are a number of reasons for this being the case. And I can never know for sure.

Wasn't there a poll like this way back?

Personally, I am conservative. Modest, cautious in habits. Traditional. Crave structure.

With my politics I am an anti-authoritarian and libertarian since less govt is my rally call (trim down everything not required for basic law and order. But as the proverb goes, 'if saying sorry was enough, we would not need police').
Long as it does not hurt me or others in our own pursuit of happiness, does not take a life, I gives a rat's patoot what other people do.

Though not resistant to change, I am not highly adaptable.

This is precisely the kind of post that's going to start political mudslinging.

because I believe that I will meet my maker when I pass over, and don't wanna have to explain why I screwed over my fellow man, I don't want to hear god exclaim, "HOW DARE YOU?! after all I've done for YOU?!" because I was homeless and it was directly attributable to the cynical machinations of capitalists who wanted better wall street performance versus main street performance. because i'm not white, not straight, not rich or even middle-class, not xtian, not right-wing. that's a start. does this adequately provide you answers? :study:

I think I'm becoming a libertarian/national liberal. I am a lot for reducing the size and scope of the government in the USA, but I still support things like infrastructure and a just national defense. Only thing is that I can't agree on open borders and America should restrict or moderate immigration.
