PBS has a new show called "Carl the Collector", about an autistic raccoon who collects all kinds of things. If you've seen it what do you think?

My bride enjoys it, I think it is OK. I like that he is high-functioning and is actually functioning, just a bit odd.

I collected a few things but I don't think I had as many collections as Carl does.

My bride laughed when he had a collection of toothbrushes, but I don't have a collection of toothbrushes. It's not a collection, it's just a stockpile.

I had not seen a full episode, just the trailer for it. It looks to be an interesting show that kids could easily get into. It may promote some of them to start collecting things themselves. I was much like that character as a kid.

As for what I collect, I am a collector of collections. I started with coins, then stamps, then chemistry sets/books, then Monopoly games, then silver, then baseball cards/autographs, then G.I Joes/Transformers, then video games, then...., ..., and eventually I started collecting vintage cars after high school. If it has value, I probably have at least a small collection of it hidden somewhere in storage. Every collection gave me an opportunity to learn about something that I was interested in. My classmates never had that type of spark in their lives from what I could tell.

I had to cut back on my cars, as it was costing me just too much to store them off site. At one time, I had the same number of project cars as I was years old. I have cut my project car collection down to a more reasonable size since then. Some I sold for a profit and I gave a few away to good friends. I do not consider myself rich by any means, I just have a knack for finding deals at the right place and right time.
