Without us in it. That is a world in which I can't participate. If you wish you were dead that's fine but I don't. I have more respect for myself than that.

That will erase my identity. That is cultural genocide as far as I'm concerned. If I don't want to be cured I shouldn't be forced to be cured.

They will kill who we are. I don't like the idea of my entire personality changing. I think that instead of focusing on a "cure" for us they should be advocating and funding support for us instead.

Maybe Autism Speaks can spare the identity of some aspies, since some of them can be pretty inventive, their primary goal is to get rid of people with severe autism.

That's exactly my problem with it. Plus they don't even want to hear our opinions and they put a presumptuous name on it like Autism Speaks.

EDIT: Sorry, didn't see the last post--so people with severe autism don't deserve to live? My cousin Michael, who is fourteen years old, doesn't deserve to live? Who died and made you God?

I agree who out of no where decided that people like Valkyrie's cousin aren't happy? I myself would rather not be cured my autism is part of who I am.

You seem to not understand that Autism Speaks is the Nazi's of our time, the Nazi's were incredibly mighty, and Autism Speaks has an incredible amount of followers, and the quest to cure autism is a big one just like the one the Nazi's wanted to fulfill, other than that the quest Autism Speaks want to fulfill will better the world.
