Why do people you look up to have to have AS? I look up to Steve Jobs, as you can tell by my current avatar and user title, but he's NT as far as anyone knows.

They don't, but why not? I never liked Steve Jobs, though.

I have no particular bias against looking up to Aspies, I just think it's stupid to look up to someone based on their neurology. You should look up to someone because of what they achieved, and who they are, not because they happen to have the same condition as you. IMO, anyway.

What you can learn from them is important, and I can learn less from successful NTs than successful aspies. It's a question of convenience and values, really, there is not much to it.

And what's wrong with Steve Jobs? The guy's a genius. He revolutionises every market he touches.[/quote]
He has a cult-leader sort of status and behavior. Based on some experience, I find it off-putting, and in a way, dangerous. But then, your special interest is business, right?

I remain unsure of what you mean.

Yes, business, the economy, and technology are my special interests.

Music is one of the special talents, of people on the spectrum, and there are a lot of musicians, who are on the spectrum. That doesn't mean that every musician is on the spectrum, though.

I've known that there are a great many people to be within the spectrum such as the brother of
Augusten Burroughs, whom I thought he himself had AS but, maybe not.Anyways, I feel those people whom are celebrities of any sort should try to use that as a means of leverage to bring positive awareness of people with AS being human and not merely lab rat's for one's experimental tests..

Sincerely,
ProfessorX
