I will put my story out there.
I have 2 children who are not vaccinated. I planned to vaxx and my son even had his first vaxx. It is what happened after that vaxx that stopped us ever vaxxing again.
He had a severe anaphylaxis reaction and ended up in hospital. Due to his young age (2 months) the excess fluid that his body produced to fight off the reaction bust his hydroseal and also pooled in his abdomen and around his brain. We almost lost him. He has had no more vaxx's including the booster for the one vaxx he did have so effectively he is unvaxxed now. My daughter has never had even one. The risk for us is too great.
I am not anti-vaxx. I am now delayed vaxx. I think vaxx's are good as they provide herd immunity but they should be delayed so the schedule starts at around 1 year of age, not 6-8 weeks old. In some countries the vaxx schedule starts at birth!
I think my son's autism is unrelated to his vaxx reaction but i think he has some other cognitive issues caused by it.
On a seperate note, how many adults go and get their booster for these diseases? Most adults forget and are then susceptible.
Well what do you know, someone concerned about Vaxxes that doesn't sound crazy. I'm amazed.
Yeah, no ones saying Vaxxes don't have side effects. Nothing you put in your body doesn't. Shoot, vitamin C can have side effects. And lets face it, everyone reacts differently. Your family might have some sort of genetic vulnerability to them, which puts you in that small percentage of the population that CAN"T get vaccinations and relys on the rest of us to keep you safe.
For the vast majority of us though, the benefits outweigh the risks greatly. While your son had problems, I'm not sure he wouldn't have if he had it latter. Given the sheer number of vaccines we have to take, I can understand starting so early. Although if they have any family history of vaccine issues, definitely post-pone it for safety.
As for adult boosters, the important ones last for several decades, but yeah, some of us have been bad. -shifty eyes-
