You are not going to get anywhere bitching about superiority on the internet. No one is going to treat you like their equal just because you demand it. You have to go out and prove your equality! It may not be right that you have to go prove your equal worth, but that's the only way you are going to get it. Present yourself in an agreeable manner. Be a team player when necessary and avoid necessary conflict. If you have this narcissistic notion that ASD traits make you superior, you are going to come off like a dick and people will alienate you!

'Aspie separatism' should be an option.

I don't care about proving that aspies are superior to NT's. I just want to live in an aspie society and not be forced to try and learn the silly form of socializing that NT's use.

Well logically I cannot support either really.......as for equality well obviously people with aspergers are not going to be exactly equal to people who don't have it. I mean obviously there are some obvious differences between people with aspergers and 'normal' people so they cannot be the same or equal in that sense.

As for superiority, yeah there are some skills people with aspergers may have that normal people lack....but then there are skills normal people could have that people with aspergers lack.

I really just want to live my life without trying to live up to what society thinks I should strive to be, or what I should be.....and don't want to be made equal or the same as something I am not.

When you say that autistics fail at job what that really means is that they are being held back.

I love it when ignorant Bosses tell me that I am too slow. I then show these ignorant Bosses my certificate in "Industrial Electronics and Robotics" . In reality it is the Bosses that are too slow because they do everthing in their power to fight robotic technology because they fear that their jobs will be automated out of existence. As far as my ability to follow verbal instructions I am usually very good at following the spirit of the Bosses instructions. In that way I am probably the most loyal employee that they could hire. What I am not good at is following my bosses instructions to the exact letter. This upsets most bosses not because the job doesn't get done but rather because most Bosses are control freaks and they think the tiniest deviation means that you are defying them.

MLK in this modern day as a guide for autism inclusion advocacy can be a bit religious. However it's the spirit of what he is talking about. So when I write scripts for radio networks and in general PR material I tend to begin with listening to MLK on YouTube, The Obama campaign, JFK and even Ronald Reagan. I come up with original material because duplicating sayings and even certain words can take away from the social effect but it's these kinds of speeches that changed or had great influence on the world that is relevant still today. There is a certain formula about them emotionally, psychologically and socially which can help to write material that raises hair on someones arms or makes them feel the warm and fuzzy.

I wish I had some of the qualities that NTs have. I have also found NTs that envy some (or at least one) quality I have.

It is like a recipe. Different amounts of different ingredients make different dishes. Personal preference and other peoples cooking usually looks or tastes better.

Many NTs don't understand the problems we have, because it is natural and easy for them.

I wish I was an NT with both intelligence and social skills. That to me (a long with other qualities) would be ideal.

I want equality. I took issue with the poll, though. Not all modern feminists think themselves superior to men. I am an avowed feminist. As a tuba player, I spend a lot of time in otherwise all-male sections. I do not have a negative or unhappy word to say about any of them. My life is richer for the involvement of my father, uncles, grandfathers, male friends and colleagues, and guys I dated.
