Reminds me of the mother that literally got away with murdering her autistic kid...
That fact that the kids got off free doesn't surprise me anymore.

And I thought it couldn't get any worse... this is an example of stupid idiots who don't do their jobs right because they're not prosecuting these kids.

I believe that there is a serious under-reported problem in the UK at the moment concerning attacks on disabled and other genuinely vulnerable perople.

go over the records. if juveniles are identity protected also check wikileaks under the UK section. they might have stuff like court records.

The one where autism society protested in favor of letting her go and then when she was let go now has a spot in autism society? Read about that a while ago. There seems to be alot of stories like this where murderers are excused because the child had autism. It's a shame.

The net result was that one of them 'got a caution'?!
I would hope if it was something more serious like Murder, then the 'Justice System' would up the ante and have an equally serious punishment, e.g. maybe 'a rather stern talking to'.

You think that's bad?? Read about some of the s**t they say goes down in China. It's not individual bad decisions. It's systemic, and it's encouraged.

We're still subhuman. We will be for a long time.

This is what the system did? They let a gang of 9 people go scotch free? They should have been punished!

My suggestion (in this exact order):
birching (for the girls) and castration (for the boys)
flogging
a round of Pankration with hardened criminals
and to top it all off a punch to the face

I hope you don't really mean this, but I can't always tell. Violence towards anyone only reaffirms violence as a solution. This is the kind of thing with which NTs ran me away from different jobs I've had. They get behind my head and talk and talk about abusing their children, how they were abused as children, and how funny it all is. I reach a point at which I can't stay there anymore, so I quit. What happened is very, very terrible and must be addressed, but children who were not subjected to violence in their upbringing would not usually commit such an act. Of course, the crowd psychology, basic sheepdom thing was probably going on as well.

I don't really mean it. Maybe I should've made that clear.

I agree with League_Girl, the laws are way too soft on juveniles living in the UK, although I'm an American citizen. It's saddening that the victim's family did not get the proper justice when those youngster's were let scott-free when it's assault that is deliberately premeditated and those 9 street rats should have gotten jail time for the cowardly attack.

I also offer her family my condolences and wish her best of luck on her recovery and her 2012 Olympic Games commitment as the torch bearer.

I have something to say as of now, what is of the UK right now with its laws concerning juveniles?
