Well, I read the thread that was linked in the second post. Moromillas, I think your biggest mistake was to not appreciate others' viewpoints. You kept insisting that what you were saying was fact and should be accepted as such. This is not going to happen. Far better to directly address what people say then to demand that they accept your views without discussion.

While I believe societal acceptance of autistic behaviours is important to our well being, I don't think that autism is all flowers and butterflies. Mental processing, lack of physical coordination, indeed a lack of physical connectedness to my body (which has led me to cutting,) difficulting understanding others, difficulty expressing my thoughts and coping with feelings.
I appreciate help that is given and think that the concern society is showing for autism is a good thing. Your response in the thread in question was unappreciative and arrogant.
