Actually looking at the big picture means looking at why it's happened, what is causing it, why is the person doing it. Most people will just look at the behavior and try and stop it than looking at the big picture.

I don't see any problems in their methodology save for the how cheap it was of them to feign being oblivious to homeostatic principles. Their study was about as groundbreaking as asking "Will our clinician undergrads fight their way out of a trap?".
