Walter O’Brien - Scorpion

Hw definitely is, Walter’s one of the characters that I saw myself in. The whole low EQ, IQ thing is partly what told me that I might have aspergers. Reminds me of Alan Turning as depicted in ‘The Imitation Game.’

Moss from IT Crowd  has always been relatable or seems like he has autistic traits.

Maybe Leeloo from The Fifth Element because she starts out "nonverbal" (but learns English eventually) and lacks understanding of how human society/social interaction works, while still being wise and an extremely fast learner. She also repeats words (ie "multipass").

Steve Buscemi's character in Ghost World. I highly doubt the filmmakers intended him to be autistic, but he clearly was...

If non- human characters count , then I would say that Vicki the Robot , from the sitcom Small Wonder , would be the ultimate unintentionally autistic character . http://hero.wikia.com/wiki/V.I.C.K.I.. I remember my parents comparing her to me , when I was young , back in the 80' s , when it was on the air .

Dawn Wiener clearly had difficulty with social understanding and would say the wrong things and do the wrong things and she clearly copied other kids. She also wore different clothes than her peers and wore things loose and she dressed more immaturely. I know the movie intended for her to be just as bad as her peers and no different but she just happened to be a target of cruelty and it was all middle school stuff and Dawn was just geeky.

Felt odd enough that the inventors of House would create the autistic doctor in "The good doctor" a few years later

House was in large parts based on Sherlock Holmes, who in turn was at least in parts on several real people contemporary with Doyle. There is certainly more than a few autistic traits trickling down, there.

Abed from Community. I loved Abed and was gutted when Troy left the show and they tried to turn Abed into someone else. He was perfect they way he was. As a side note I saw Dan Harmon interviewed and talking about the character development of Abed and how he (Dan) came to recognise his own Asperger traits. This is from memory so please forgive me if I have misremembered that interview.
