I don't think anyone cares if you are "neurodivergent" because everyone is different. I used to think people didn't like me because I was different but I learned it was mostly my anxiety that made other people uncomfortable.

If you're anxious because you think people are judging you, other people can detect it but since they have no way of knowing why you're anxious and it could be because you're planning to hurt them, people will be uncomfortable and avoid you.

People became more comfortable around me and stopped avoiding me after I reduced my anxiety by getting into the habit of thinking positively about other people.

Yeah that's not really true, many people DO hate autistic people.

So us NTs are conditioned (what you call wired) from birth to read/communicate socially with other NTs.

When we come across a neurodivergent individual it takes us some effort to decode the way the other person comes across (for example "why is this person not looking at me when they talk", I am talking about "apples" and they suddenly talk about "oranges", are they listening to what I am saying? how come they don't get it? why are they so obsessed/fixated with "A" when we have already moved on to "B".

Those of us NTs familiar with an Autistic person are able to anticipate and decode their communication whereas for most NTs it takes some effort to process what's going on and they shrug their shoulders and turn their attention elsewhere as its too hard.

I used to feel the same way. I thought no one liked me because I was different. However, after I overcame my emotional problems, the same people who didn't like me like me now which proves it had nothing to do with being "nuerodivergent." What people don't like is mental illness and, unlike autism, mental problem can be overcome.
