I really disagree with the vaccine causes autism hype. The vaccine myth is a device used by the curebies as an excuse to cure/eradicate us. If it's genetic, they have to deal with all the eugenics issues.

My aspie son showed symptoms of autism long before he was ever vaccinated, sicne I wiated until he was about 5. When he did get vaccinated, it had no effect on his AS. The symptoms neither decreased not increased. His younger borther, also aspie, was vaccinated right on target and actually seems to be doing better than the older, unvaccinated one was at the same age.

The reason that the vaccine hype is convincing is because nearly all American kids get vaccinated. However, there are children who are on the spectrum and have never been immunized. I think I did a poll to that effect here once...a long time ago.

There is another perhaps not so obvious reason why people buy the vaccine causes autism myth, people love a good David and Goliath story and the parents VS the government and Pharmaceutical companies makes for a very good David and Goliath story. Further more people are more likely to listen to emotional arguments that cold hard fact because fact based arguments are more entertaining.

philosopherBoi, well done on putting together the most educational piece of writing i have ever seen.

this just goes to show how how far many people in this world are truly willing to go against us, some believe we should be eradicated, others believe we should have been killed before we were born, and those who apparently fight for our cause are the ones defending those who seek to cause us harm.

children are being tortured and killed to 'cure' their autism yet none are being cured, i can't believe people allow their children to be forced into this sort of thing. don't any of themunderstand life is hard enough with autism/aspergers alone?

if they believe they will eradicate autism in this lifetime it just goes to show this world is destined for despair, rather thasn fighting cancer or HIV some would rather destroy any hope some of us have. if someone's got something 'wrong' with them they should be helped, but most of the time there is nothing wrong that needs changing.
