I think it says a lot more about yourself when you bully than it does about your victim. It means you are a horrible hateful person.

Also if people get away with that stuff no wonder some people are shocked about that one guy that got arrested for online bullying. These people get away with it.

People like that are part of the reason I don't even bother with people. They are judgmental jerks that have to go and harass people that are different or that they don't like instead of ignoring or avoiding them. People like that make me feel like I should just stay in my house and never talk to anyone in real life or online just so I can't be bothered by them because they judge everything I say or do or don't do because I'm not just like them.

I can't read most of the page because stuff like that upsets me but the whole "he's an adult who lives with his parents and is a virgin and likes cartoons and video games, haha he's a loser" stuff gets old fast and who cares if he is?

I feel the same way. Every time I tried to write on forums there were always some jerks who dissed me because they couldn´t stand that I didn´t agree with them, or for no apparent reason at all. I found it impossible to debate with that kind of people since they had no intention to discuss the subject at hand, it was all about personal attacks and insults. And it was downright disgusting the way they bullied people who didn´t fit in or just were easy targets.
That has made me stay away from most forums.

I like WP because almost everybody here are civil and won´t berate you if you are a bit geeky. Or even if you´re super geeky.

I don't know a whole lot about Chris Chan. I did a brief search and it just looks like he is mainly an oddball. Apparently he is also a homophobic/sexist? Is this true? I never know what to believe on the internet.

I want to blow my brains out when I see people make fun of him for all the wrong reasons. If you want to make the fun of the guy, attack him for his bigotry, don't attack him for being weird.

If he is a troll, well whatever. Don't get mad at trolls unless they are spreading hate. This is the only thing that has any merit in attacking.

Also ironically I've seen people complain about him being a homophobe yet there are people using homophobic terms to describe him. What does that make them?

I don't consider his wretched existence to be harmful to our interests. He's a useful decoy, who occupies the interests of trolls who would otherwise be DDOS'ing us. Sure, it's not good for him personally, and I don't agree with the actions of the trolls, but needs must.

I've made it clear before that I feel he needs to be barred from the internet, along with his trolls. Perhaps we shall launch a few decoys of our own, ala troll the trolls?

One site I looked at referred to him as "girlfriend-free fa***t" and a "a self-loathing flaming fa***t trying desperately to stay in the closet."

It would never even occur to me to use homosexual terms as an insult because I don't see homosexuality as a bad thing.

someone who doesn't know much about autism sees him and they think that autism did that and not the fact that the man is a jackass. So if I am applying for a job and I mention that I am AS and someone interviewing me has seen some of the Chris chan stuff, I don't get a job because he actively practices all of the worst parts of autism for the perverse enjoyment of the spotlight, thus giving us all a bad name!

Yes I know he has been through alot and he was misdiagnosed, and he was sheltered by his mother and all that other stuff, but 1: he has made it very hard to feel sympathy for him by burning all of his bridges with the autistic community, the people who could help him the most.

and 2: maybe in the past it would be possible to help him, but it seems he enjoys what he is now and would refuse help if it was ever offered to him. How am I supposed to feel about him.

Also at this point calling him a dispicable person isn't really even an insult. Its a fact. He is a bigot, a homophobe, a troll, hygenically disgusting and a whole bunch of other things.

How do I feel about him? I feel sorry for him. He is undoubtedly an awful person, but I pity him for being shaped into what he is by the bullying, conformity and ignorance of his childhood surroundings.

The people making fun of him are the one being bigots. In case it wasn't clear in my post that part was copy and pasted directly from a site making fun of him, not something I wrote myself.

Sorry about that man. You should put quotation marks on that stuff, try to put up more barriers between the sheer uncencored dickishness of that quote and us.

That said, my moral stance on Chris chan hasn't changed. The man is a dick, but given all the horrible things that happened to him in his formative years it's basically a case of "there but for the grace of God go I"
