I am thoroughly surprised and relieved to see the friendliness and civility here.

I chose to get active on AFF because I wanted to influence a group with a good message, who were, unfortunately communicating it very ineffectively.

Unfortunately, I was unable to do anything but emphasize how poorly this message was being communicated.

Oh, well, score one for Autism Speaks.

This outcome was never my intention but I suppose it was inevitable.

Civility and polite, but challenging engagement will always win out.

Just because something isn't well received doesn't mean they were bad.


Posting many times doesn't necessarily mean that someone's 'cause' is damaged.

I woke up to some interesting developments.


This is absolutely absurd when we look at the fact that people are only defending Tambourine_man because militants are calling him a liar, manipulative and offensive only for the heinous crime of saying 'maybe we should approach autism speaks'. This defence of him has nothing to do with the fact that he has been on two sites. If people thought he actually did deserve anything that was said to him then they wouldn't be defending him, I wouldn't be defending him.

As anyone can see from Cornflake's long text post any attempt to characterize what Tambourine_man did in the slightest as malign or manipulative is wrong.

During this time you then condemned me, saying that I was personally attacking you after I had been saying that you should prove what you say.
Later he said to do no personal attacks on another thread and he then repeated that on here. This is because you had made personal attacks on him and I have even seen it on his thread on AFF where you basically told him off like a parent talking to a toddler for the heinous crime of him asking people to talk with the enemy and help improve things for all involved.

Everyone besides Zeraeph has been telling you for ages what is right and wrong and since vermontsavant hasn't at all referred to them or found any problem with them it's clear that their words follow closely enough what he has said.

i did not say that your condescension was a joke. i know it was very real. what i said in my post is that i thought you were being condescending in error to an earlier post i posted.
