Aspie48 how can you or anyone take that site seriously when they read: "I think one big reason why Autistic people are better than everyone else is that we communicate our ideas directly without pointless conversation. Socializing is a pointless thing that non-autistic people do to waste time. Autistic people have more time to do important stuff. Communication is essential to having strong meaningful relationships and societies. Without communicating ideas to each other people do not progress as a society. However wasting time on communicating useless bits of information does not move society forward. As usual the burden of taking the next step forward falls on autistic people, because we talk about what is important us without useless time wasting social boundaries."

1. one major difficulty I have is putting things in the right words, it can be very difficult for me to clearly communicate my ideas directly though I don't do the pointless conversation thing I just don't say anything or end up lose my train of thought midsentence and totally forgetting what I was trying to say.

2. And what sort of imporant stuff is being referred to, I think my interactions with people I care about is important actually.

well you seem coherent to me. we are both communicating important information to each other right now, sharing knowledge of our perspectives of NTs. attitude towards NTs is something we both find important in our lives so that is why we are debating it. if we were just talking about rumors of some guy being gay or talking about what we ate last night that would be socializing.

Autism supremacy is just as bad as NT supremacy, and I oppose both. We should accept all people, rather than making a hierarchy where some people are valued more than others.

A sensible approach

Yes I type much better then I speak...and I almost do not see the point in the term NT we don't need a special word to refer to people who do not have AS, Autism or any other mental conditions, disorders or illnesses.

...so communicate by typing and speaks when you have to. i also have trouble speaking but it doesn't prevent me from being an Autism Supremacist.

I don't always have the option of typing.....and I would not say being an autism supremacist as a good thing, and how can you consider yourself superior if you admit you have trouble speaking.....sounds kind of like you have a need to validate yourself or something by convincing yourself you are superior because you have a mental condition.

Ah, so we've come to the root of the AS supremacy movement (if you can even call it that); it's nothing more than an emotional defense mechanism to defend against feelings of worthlessness, and a bad defense mechanism at that because it relies on denial rather than making any attempt to overcome one's problems.

I ask again, how old are you and what experience do you have working with autism anyways?

im 15 and my experience with it is with my own life and i have dealt with enough bs from NTs to know that Autism Supremacy is the only way forward.

I know most people I have met have no idea I have AS so that was not their reason for treating me badly, it was quite simply because I deviated from what is considered the norm....but there are pleanty of people without autism that are treated badly as well if they do not conform.

But anyways no I do not have a job, I am in college and cannot have a job on top of that right now...Its hard enough trying to keep control of anxiety attacks in class and completing homework and such.
