Cyber ridicule of an autistic man... TODAY!
The man constitutes about as much harm to the earth as a solitary male botfly to a herd of cattle. If anything, whenever he does something bad he is doing the world a service by showing exactly how much of a nobody who brings it upon yourself you are when you do the same bad things as him.
I completely agree, when I see someone like Chris Chan, who as far as I can tell does no real harm, but rants at length, its more the reaction to them that is disturbing and odd to me, I do wonder why people enjoy this and go to such lengths. Haters basically

Any hater, any doer of bad things is a threat to my existence because he harms the social fabric for personal gain. He makes people feel as if it is okay to do bad behaviour and so they worsen morale, ruin lives,, cause havoc and act like idiots themselves. Deal with the people by clamping down on them and they change, or are muted in to nothingness and people who might be influenced don't get influenced.
I think the most disturbing part of this Chris Chan thing is how accustomed people have become with bullying....especially normal, intelligent, and presumably well educated people. Hell, there's a whole encyclopedia that documents his every "failure" as a human being.
What's baffling, is how people call him a mean spirited sociopath, but completely ignore the actions of those who trolled him. Yes, Chris Chandler is racist, homophobic, sexist, and anti-aspergers, but that's not how this whole thing started. It started with a succession of creeps taking advantage of a desperately lonely man. This is how they got the more lurid videos of him. When he had sex with a blow-up doll he was making it for his "girl-friend" not for the entire internet. The trolls knew he was naive enough to do it so new "girl-friends" asked Chris to make more videos. I can't think of how continually bullsh##tting him help him learn the error of his ways, if anything he'll become more hateful and isolated and his different phobias and prejudices will become more fully entrenched.
He was by no means perfect before the trolling began, but I'd like to think there was at least a glimmer of hope for him to better adapt to society. I want to strangle anyone who tries to rationalize all this.

Finally, an adult response that actually has some grasp of human psychology and not just some twisted acceptance of bullying being brought upon oneself.

I'm glad someone agrees with me(Gedrene).
I don't wanna spam or anything but there's another point that I'd like to make. Chris Chan is most definitely autistic, and just because he says offensive things doesn't change that fact. It's a genetically predetermined condition, and not a club with a revokable membership. He says that aspergers is not a form of autism, he's wrong as well.He behaves badly sometimes, and uses his disease as a crutch--the same way a lot of other people behave badly and feel sorry for themselves. You also have to consider his environment. Yes, you can only take responsibility for yourself, but you should also have the humility to accept that a large part of ourselves has been shaped by things beyond our control. In Chris' case his parents were reluctant to have him treated after he was given his diagnosis. He was pampered and showered with toys in lieu of actual parenting. They catered to his every need, and if our parents were willing to do the same for us most of us would have gladly accepted.
A messed up childhood has made him a pariah among pariahs. I'm guessing this is why he lashes out at people with aspergers. He can't understand why other socially awkward people would be put off by him, so he assumes that we're all faking it. I know people aren't obliged to like each other, but he probably saw a group of people he could fit in with, but was rejected because of the additional social handicaps that his upbringing had left him with.
It's ironic that I got most of my information from the ChanWiki. They document and even outright admit in some places that Chris' behavior is not entirely his fault, but they're still ok with the trolling.

They're doing it because they think that it's funny. It's psychopathy pure and simple. Some of these people should be sectioned.
Yeah, but it means you have mad drunken men with shotguns coming after you after you accidentally killed one of the daughters of the 'big man' in the village.
And now we're just making weird associations with Chris Chandler that have never actually happened. Furthermore nothing like blunt stereotypes in order to actually hinder clever solutions.
Sigh... They cannot even admit to being wrong about bullying never being justified.

I am fully aware that Mr. Chandler never lived in a 16th century medieval village and did not make his living as a village idiot.
Indeed. And Chris Chandler's name isn't Henry Niles.
I wouldn't describe a lot of what Chandler has experienced being bullying... unless they're bullying him for what he fundamentally is, rather than just his actions,
Okay, my point was that he has no guidence. How could he learn from his mistakes when he apparently has no loving support, and everyone else who wants to "help him" typically harp on him for what he's done wrong, furthering his demoralization, and lengthening his antics. On top of that, the CWCiki takes it too far. I find that the recent hack of that site to be amusing (Gary was here, Ash is a loser. lol), but I actually hope that its content is saved for psychologists to analyze on both Chris and the trolls' part, and taken off the internet.
