It's insane that a 7year old boy could be put through an adult system and receive an adult judgement. I have to agree with earlier comments that the school is just looking for a way to legally rid themselves of a child they can't be bothered to deal with. It is very sad.
they cant charge him as an adult because he is not 17.when you hear about juviniles being charged as adults, those are 13 year olds or older who have killed people.the worst thing that can happen to this kid is he could be sent to a behavior modification programBut aren't battery charges adult an adult offence?
the courts got sick and tired of teens shooting, raping and robbing people with weapons and they passed those anti juvinile crime laws so that very very violent offenses could lead to adult sentences.even with murder you still have to be at least 13 to be tried as an adult.
no, simple assault without a weapon is a misdemeanor.he wouldnt even likely go to juvinile detention
"behavior modification" probably wouldn't work on this kid, how many autistics have successsfully been able to adapt their behavior to suit other people's expectations? I don't think the kid should get off scott free as people like to say, but misbehavior in a school should always be a school related issue only, especially at that age.

I didn't say that you said it would, just that realistically it likely wouldn't work on the kid.
