Yes, demonizing people with autism is immoral. Talking about murdering autistic children is immoral. The fact that you can't understand that, just shows how much in denial, you are. Now go back to your infinite loop of apologizing for Autism Speaks. Because that is all of your diatribe, that I can stomach reading. :eew:

I find it interesting that he does this, but then turns around and says those of us who disagree with him only disagree because we lack cognitive empathy.

Or that he basically sets up camp in these threads and never ever stops with the propaganda machine, but he accuses me of disagreeing with him for the sake of attention. As opposed to, say, finding what he says to be extremely disagreeable and often downright wrong. I couldn't possibly care less about attention, but I hate that people spread misinformation or at least distorted information to muddy these discussions.

Also accusing me of lying about him when I basically quote things he actually posted back to him.

Yes Verdandi you quote the things back that i posted and have the audacity to lie straight 'worded'..when the words absolutely do not say what you try to put in my mouth...

People with autism have problems with cognitive empathy..like it or not..those are the facts...

And it is a hurdle that all of us with this difficulty..must attempt to accommodate in real life..if we want to survive..for the ones of us that find ourselves having to work..with no choice..no matter if it kills us.. if we want to eat...

Well..my friend.. my autism per this..almost killed me...

And hell no it was not anyone else's fault but the autism..and me..as i did not have the ability to tell folks no with the difficulty with alexithymia and cognitive empathy....

So if you f*****g think..that i do not think that higher functioning autistic folks have a problem you my friend simply have no cognitive empathy for me..

Which who knows maybe you have no idea what you are even doing..in that case...but that is for who to know..not for me...

As we discussed friggin autitisic burnout and how horrible it is for many words documented on this site...

As documented in my post here:

http://katiemiaaghogday.blogspot.com/20 ... ctrum.html

I am here only to help people on the spectrum...

I do not need this place..it is only annoying to be presented with folks like you..that incessantly attack me for no other reason IT SEEMS..than to garner attention..that yes all social animals need in life..including autistic folks....

But I will withstand your annoyances..forever as long as now exists for me...

As i am fearless...there is nothing you can do to me..except for your futile attempts to discredit my character here on this site...

And no i will not even report you to a moderator..

As i am a really big boy...

And i can take care of myself..in real life..

And haha..no problem here...:)

My friend.

Because i do not break the rules here friend..

Simple as that...

And if there is ever any issue with me that the moderators..would or could get annoyed about..

I immediately correct it

and
never do it again...

i know how to follow the rules..

That ain't hard for me.

That was also my preconceived notion as well from the folks that i came into contact with in actual face to face interactions in a support group...

as well as all the autistic folks i had known in my entire life...face to face.

Yah..there were people who didn't get the nuances of life..

But no one i knew that got off on just being mean to folks...

AS far as i can see...

That is no part of autism..the abstract concept...

Anyway... but again...

Sometimes it's kinda lonely here... per the mean fish in the aquarium...

But thanks for the reasoned support...

My friend.

*** Reminder to everyone to keep this debate civil. ***

I appreciate that Autism Speaks is a highly emotive and divisive subject. I don't want to have to lock this thread or give any warnings out, so I'm respectfully asking everyone to remain calm and civil with their exchanges.

Oh look, Autism Speaks stole an autistic writer's words without getting permission from the publisher or the author (hence the stealing):

http://yesthattoo.blogspot.com/2014/01/ ... white.html

Quote:
This started about three years back. In February, 2011, Kassiane found that Autism Speaks had quoted her out of context in their transition toolkit and gotten the attribution wrong. She wrote a post called Autism Speaks: SHUT UP AND LISTEN. It was from a book, so the protocol should have been to ask the publisher: Autism Speak's representative, Kai McMahon (his title legitimately used to be "Social Media Crisis") commented claiming to have gotten permission from the publisher, the publisher says no such permission was given. Given that Autism Speaks didn't manage to be honest anywhere else with this... I'm much more inclined to believe the publisher.

Come 2012, usethebrainsgodgiveyou commented on Kassiane's original post, noting that if you go to the toolkit and search for Kassiane's name using CTRL+F (might be different on operating systems other than Windows,) her name shows up twice. Rather than take the quote off at authorial request, they white-texted it. That's the tactic disreputable sites use to get higher up in search terms, by the way, and it's worked: as of 1:41am Eastern Standard Time on January, 25, 2014 (2:41pm same day China,) that document is the top result for "autism speaks kassiane sibley." It's on page 2 searching "kassiane sibley."

Looking forward to the excuses and equivocation to justify this.

I think we should elect some people to be de facto representatives of the world's Autistic population, and stand by them in our quest for advocacy. We would be more successful at advocating for ourselves if we had some strong leaders to guide us and determine the best way forward.

Kassianne Sibley, Kathy Grant, Donna Williams, Julia Bascom, Jim Sinclair, Joel Smith, even our own Ken G, to name just a very few, are all autistic activists who work their butts off advocating for other autistic people. I know that for some of them, the frustration of gaining acceptance and accomodations for our people, is not much greater than the frustration these incredible people experience at having so few [compared to what it might be, should be] other autistics standing up with them.

MLK could not have accomplished anything near what he did without the support and actions of others who desired change. We also need to work together.
