I was discussing this at uni today with a bloke who is on WP, and he said the ribbon is the best symbol for autism. But symbolically, I think the full figure-eight would be better, autism is an endless spectrum of conditions :D

well actually there is one for autism spectrum syndromes, it looks similar to the breast cancer ribbon, except with puzzle-pieces instead of blank pink

No reason to necro a year-old thread to suggest something that was already shot down on the first page.

I think a cat of some kind. Start with a simple iconic cat drawing (need to be drawn be someone so its not copied) Then add in a rainbow spectrum shading for the eyes or the whole cat.

A spectrum point siamse... a siamese cat with rainbow color patterns where the "points" are. Gives me an idea for an LPS custom.

I know this sounds stereotypical, but I was thinking an eye and the world in it, meaning, "We see the world in our own eyes."

Mumble from Happy Feet is a great symbol for any type of neural-atypicalism. Not only is he an oddball, but he turns his disability into an advantage at the end of the movie. He is uplifting, cute, and attention-grabbing. Using him as a symbol for any neurological disorder would help people to see it in a more positive light.

I say a globe, but instead of traditional blues and greens, use rainbow colors, and an A in the middle with a ring going around the globe.

If someone could tell me how to display pictures, I could show it.
