I know several members and supporters of the BNP who have AS. Some are critical of Nick Gri££in but all are generally socially conservative.

I'm not liberal or conservative, left or right, up or down, Democrat or Republican, or whatever. Everything has to be black or white in this country and I'm sick of it. I consider myself a "realist" when it comes to politics. I see things the way they are, and not how I would like them to be. Kind of like how its fun to believe in Santa, even though you know he isn't real.

Did you really use polotics and Santa in the same sentence? I don't even feel like arguing I am so depressed right now.

Do you know if people with AS are more likely to vote for smaller political parties than NT people in countries where large political parties dominate, such as the US and the UK?

Does anyone? Its not like a polling company is going to be polling Aspie voting intentions in the near future. I will say one thing though here, Aspies do tend to be more politically aware and involved. Certainly from what experience I have had of politics anyway.

Almost all that I know are either libertarian or socialist. Very few vote mainstream.

Do people with AS tend to think highly of Ralph Nader or Pat Buchanan?

I think it depends on the Aspie, but many would prefer Nader or Buchanan over Obama or McCain. (As least from my experience.)
Personally, I voted for Charles Jay of the Boston Tea Party.

I've been a longtime moderate republican voter my whole life, unless I choose to vote otherwise.

Finally something I have that the majority of WP doesn't, great political views. I didn't really mean that, I can be very unbiased at times. I didn't care one way or the other until Sarah Palin was introduced, I am Conservative for the most part.

I'm also a Conservative, usually I get flamed or flame-baited in political debates on forums because of that fact. :?

Contrary to popular belief, I've found that tends to be a Conservative viewpoint, the liberal viewpoint (at least where those in government tend to be concerned) is the one that involves bureacracy to do it, and legislate it to the point it does the opposite.

Reminds me of the first day in my Constititutional Law Class when the Professor asked about the eminent domain case where the Supreme Court ruled in favor of cities taking away property from individuals and giving it to businesses. I was one of the only people in the class that knew it was the Liberal Justices and the swing vote (Justice Kennedy) that voted it to be Constitutional, and the Conservative Judges were against it. All the neurotypicals in the room thought it was the other way around.

Conservatives are pro-business, but they are also pro-individual rights, including individual property rights. Liberals (at least in government), tend to be anti-business unless it increases tax revenues, and anti-individual rights, and pro-government being a nanny state.

Do you favor redistribution of wealth and income? You should be aware that thieves favor redistribution of wealth and income, but they make it a private matter. When governments do it, it is called compassion.

I am an Old Aspie who thinks Ralph Nader is a sourpuss and a killjoy. I think Buchanan is an antisemite and a bigot.

Perhaps in a non political way... such as simply liking things to be traditional and predictable.

Politically? I hope not. :-P I'm certainly not a Conservative anyway.

I have found that conservatives are typically against individual rights. The most clear example of the day being gay rights. Women's rights had their opposition from the right, as did the Civil rights movement. Also, the support of torture is a conservative thing, and that violates human rights in so many ways.

To make myself clear, I am not saying that conservatives must be against gay/women's/minorities/human rights, but that the people who are against such things are almost exclusively conservative.

All states favour redistribution of wealth, just that some forget about social justice when doing it.
