and was rather suprised when I told him that whilst I didn't want my Asperger's Syndrome to get worse, I didn't want to be cured either.

My mum is a curbie. I was a little surprised when I fiund out, but it also explained why she's never gone along with my special interests. It all makes sense yo me - that wretched little dark brown raisin soul.

Same here, though I think she was more concerned with me being obsessive-compulsive. Mrs. Reikard would let nothing stand in her way of trying to "cure" me, not even federal law!

I don't know I've done the biomed stuff for a year and a half and about all it's done is get rid of the rashes I"ve had for years and helped w/some GI issues. I feel better and that's what is important as for it changing who I am....um no I just feel better. It's made my quality of life better and that is very important to me but I still have my AS. Also it uncovered my immune defect which means I finally am getting treated for it but hey sick less often and feeling better is good enough. Does this make me a curebie? Somehow I doubt it I like being different a little bit.

Balanced.
I think that a cure for those who want it is a good thing, but there should be checks in place to ensure that said cure isn't forced on anyone, whether directly or by placing pressure on people to say that they want a cure when they don't actually.
