Agreed, to a certain extent. No one is being censored here that I am aware of, and I found no evidence of direct sponsorship, but I will never trust Autism Speaks. And I also tend to lose trust in people who are too close to them.
Someday soon, perhaps, the division will end, but so far, they have not taken enough steps toward a pro-self-advocacy position for me support them. They are spending too much energy playing on the emotions of frustrated parents instead of spending it on improving the lives of the children. Of course, it's not the children who have the cash.
