I received this email From Cathy. What do you think?

Demand the Resignation of Representative Martin Harty:
http://www.petitionspot.com/petitions/R ... MustResign

The following is the sickening story:

Law maker states that all "ret*ds" should be sent to Siberia

A 91-year-old New Hampshire state legislator is unapologetic after suggesting
to a constituent that the state ship people with disabilities to Siberia.
The comments came when Sharon Omand, the manager of a mental health program in
New Hamsphire, called her state representative, Martin Harty, to raise concerns
about funding cuts to mental health services.

Omand said that Harty told her “the world is too populated” with “too many
defective people.” Harty went on to explain that he was referring to, “you know
the mentally ill, the ret*d, people with physical disabilities and drug
addictions — the defective people society would be better off without.”
“I wish we had a Siberia so we could ship them all off to freeze to death and
die and clean up the population,” Harty said, according to Omand’s
account. After the comments were publicized during a state House committee
meeting this week, Harty told the Concord Monitor that he did make the
comments, but said he was “just kidding.”

This state rep is supposedly a 90+yo war vet with little understanding of the legislative process who frequently gets confused and rambles on off topic on the state assembly floor... Not sure why he gets to keep his position and after this, I'm sure he won't.

Tell him there's a plan afoot to forcibly euthanise deranged 91-year-old state legislators from New Hampshire.

If I was living in NewHampshire I'd wonder if he was value for money. In Australia we have some conservative states in the north like Queensland that elect people just like this. I think it's a reflection of the community values.

Many people think to look to the government for the solutions. Those that cannot adapt well themselves and function in the typical society must rely on people like this man which spoke his mind candidly in frustration. It is a good thing I do not look to the government, the politicians of social popularity and so on. It is best to protect oneself from this kind of global incompetency. This has me further believing politicians are not super hero's and the government is not god. I do not live a life diluted by imagining myself in a protected bubble of political promises. Instead this world is my world to like the others without disabilities do which is assure a better protection and stability by doing everything possible to assure fiscal survivability.

It is fun.

Call me ageist (or ableist), but I'm certain that you'd have to have Alzheimer's to think of a plan like that. Poor man.

Nothing wrong with conservatism or community values. They can elect who they like; that is democracy in its true sense.

That said, they shouldn't then be surprised if no-one wants to live there because they're so backward.

Morons often vote for morons - it's as simple as that. :)
