I honestly couldn't watch because of the narrator's accent

In the same way the popular presumption that people in general "can't" have Autism or Aspergers if they DO make eye contact/gesture/use vocal inflection/whatever hurts them,
it hurts women and girls with it when it's presumed they ARE adept at social interaction-

Aspie girls are misdiagnosed at a much higher rate than boys, as it is. :?

So instead of watching it, read it:

No kidding. I actually have extremely poor eye contact, pathetic vocal inflection, and look down when I walk and have meltdowns frequently. My symptoms are far more severe than this woman's and I still can't convince my friends or family or even strangers that I'm actually autistic (yet I get crapped on everyday for possessing the obvious symptoms of it)! I must be cursed or something.

It was a big struggle for me as well...and I am the same way, and don't drive, I walk on my tiptoes, am prone to pacing around repeating the same phrase if I get stuck on something...I have had people laugh in my face on the notion...um...I have to "wear it on my sleeve" alot because I am frequently having to be subjected to conditions of such extreme sensory overload that I can barely function in any manner that is remotely comfortable...I am rude and impersonable most of the time, because it is the best I can do..."overdisclosing" is much easier than attempting to pretend like I am not extremely uncomfortable
