Yes, they are a for profit company but they also give away lots of free iPads that can make the difference in getting a kid interested, engaged and learning when other teaching methods fail. iPads offer that crucial visual learning stimulus that is so vital for so many kids on the spectrum. Yes, they sell apps - they average around $5 each - but the hundreds of iPads they are giving away to kids and schools is more than a worthy cause!
