Autism Month and Day article
I might write an article about autistic spectrum disorders and Autism Awareness Month and/or Day (April 2), which is right around the corner, so this is something that would need to be finished fairly soon. I never heard anything about it until recently. This is for a small magazine I've written for before. I have no clue what to write about, though. What events will be happening this year? What would be some good topics to cover? Thank you.

Your Aspie score: 128 of 200
Your neurotypical (non-autistic) score: 72 of 200
You are very likely an Aspie
Thanks. Brohoof! I'm just looking for some advice or information still.
I think probably the most important topic on a lot of peoples minds is the removal of AS and PDD-NOS from the DSM 5. Many people believe that a large number of aspies will lose services. Probably the most damaging part is loss of a sense of community. It's akin to telling people they can no longer be American. Many people believe the change is being made to reduce the ammount of people who recieve government benefits. Many also believe that vulnerable people are targeted for cuts because they lack the ability to fight back. This would be a very good place to start your article.

Thank you. This is a good jumping-off point for ideas, but I might not be able to do it anyway because the person in charge still hasn't approved, and it might be "too controversial."
