On the Wiki page of WrongPlanet, it mentions Autism Speaks being a sponsor of the Autism Talk TV. Urgh, Autism Speaks is ridiculous and I would hope this not to be true. Oh well. Autism Speaks doesn't speak for me. :?

just because they sponsor it financialy doesnt mean they have a say in WP social or political agenda.its just advertising

People from Autism Speaks read WP. People from Autism Speaks can get things taken down if they want to.

That said, they don't really seem to be doing much now, they're just paying for Alex's silly hobby. But of course I agree with OP - Autism Speaks certainly does not speak for me.

When? I have seen multiple autism speaks bashing threads that were not taken down.

Yeah it only happened once. People got angry and it spread to other autism forums so it never happened again. IDK, maybe it was an isolated incident, but when you look at Autism Speaks' history of silencing those with autism then you do have to question it.
