Although the film Malcolm doesn't use the word autism in relation to its title character, likely because it came out in 1986, I think he definitely is. I enjoyed this film for its soundtrack, Melbourne setting, and Rube Goldberg machines.
Has anyone else here seen this film, and if so, what did they make fo it?

Yeah love this movie - total classic, must have seen over 10 times. It's a 'don't you wish' kind of movie. Autistically speaking - really shows the character just getting on with life - acceptance by the other characters - OK they think he's a weirdo but they like him and accept him. And boy oh boy doesn't he have fun! Also perhaps highlights another aspect of pre-ASD world - in that the community looked after them and accepted them as they were quirks and all.
