As some of you know, I run an autism and asperger's self advocacy blog.

I am looking to discuss things that the community feels are important... anyone got anything they feel needs to be talked about?

A few ideas:

"I have my official diagnosis - now what?"

"I have my official diagnosis, and now I see autistic people everywhere. Why?"

"Why can't I get a date / friends / a job / respect?"

"My special interest is ________. How can I make it a career?"

Job searching resources and incentives for employers to hire autistic people.

Less Autism Speaks commercials and more autism acceptance commercials.

The first topic I will be researching soon... but I will not touch the autism speaks debate

When to fight and when to remain silent is a HUGE issue I see for people with AS.

When "Being Right" isn't worth it is another.

What Employers expect in an interview

"A Gentle Answer Turns Away Wrath" as a life lesson.

People who try and insinuate - or just downright insist- that you can't be autistic if you don't spend your whole life obviously stimming or if you have more than two brain cells to rub together. It's very hurtful as it implies that you're either a liar or some kind of fantasist, and it results in a great deal of bullying in the work/school environment. I have no idea how to address this.

While this is a very good topic, it really is the over-riding arc of my blog series, care and feeding of your aspie which can be read on my blog at http://wayoutonthecorner.blogspot.com

Aside from the Autism on Mars, you just stated what the blog is about... I am looking for more focused topics... I have covered all of those... except the mars one
