Job: Autism Trainer
Hours: You will be contacted as and when your specific skills are required to deliver training. This could be as much as once a week and could be as little as every few months.
Location: Across Leeds at various business venues. Support will be available to help your travel to the various venues in advance.
Your main job is to Work with our Training Facilitator to deliver training on autism to businesses and organisations across Leeds.
Here are the most important tasks in more detailYou will be asked to speak to groups of people about your autism or how autism affects the person you support
You may be asked questions about how your disability affects you or the person you support
You will be required to travel to various locations to deliver training
You will work with our Training Facilitator to co-deliver autism awareness training
You will be asked to offer suggestions on content for the training
You will be involved in meetings to discuss the training that is being delivered
What sort of person should you be to do this job and what sort of skills will you need?
[1. You will need to be
good with people, smile, be polite, and be helpful.
2. You will need to be able to stand in front of groups of people and talk about your own disability
3. You need to be able to answer questions about your disability
4. You will need to work well as part of a team.
5. You will need to be an
organised person.
6. You need to be able to travel to various locations across Leeds. We will support you with travel planning but will be unable to travel with you.
