To me it means getting out your voice to help educate others about your condition ( promoting a greater understanding of it) and who you are, and letting the world know that you are entitled to the same quality of life and services, etc. they (in this case the neuro- normal communities of parents, educators, even professionals) are. You are entitled to the equal life opportunities as they. Advocacy is standing up for one's equal rights. Basically putting their condition in the forefront.
