Call for applications: UN Special Rapporteur on disability

Do you know someone who might be a suitable candidate (and sympathetic to the rights of autistics) for the mandate of UN Special Rapporteur on the rights of persons with disabilities?

A new SR will be elected by the United Nations Human Rights Council in September. A call was circulated only today, and the deadline for applications is 28 July.

Unfortunately, the position is unpaid. Support to the mandate holder will be provided by the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR).

The SR acts in personal capacity and therefore does not need to be nominated by a country.
