How do you guys feel about the current sort of popular autism logo- the puzzle piece (and its various iterations).
I personally like it- but for very personal reasons; additionally, I acknowledge simultaneously that I may not like what other people think of it and what that means to them. (eg: NT parents)
I have noticed a trend of the idea of rainbows/wings/infinity in other autism representations sometimes hearts (my favorite). It was strange to me because as a child these were always symbols I gravitated towards and would draw kind of endlessly. I find myself drawing rainbows a lot, and I notice that shows up a lot in interesting (in a different way from the LGBTQIA+) ways.
I was wondering what others thought of symbols? I have a friend that got the autism puzzle piece as a tatoo, but this friend is very autism-positive and it means a lot the them so.

I loathe it. I am not a puzzle piece to be dissected torn apart and put back togeather but a human bieng. Not my fault NT's can not figure us out.

I like the Aspies for Freedom logo (a rainbow-colored infinity symbol).

I'm with ASPartOfMe on this one.
I don't really like logos, symbols, badges of any kind, and I never have. I make sure that my clothes don't have visible brand labels if I possibly can, and I have never worn things like band T-shirts etc. If people want to know who I am or what I think about something, they should either ask me, or look at the life I lead, for an answer.

I Personally like ASAN's logo best, though. It is pretty awesome.

Puzzle piece is bad. As far as I am aware it was originally part of a logo of a head with a puzzle shaped piece missing. And then obviously autism speaks and those multicoloured puzzle piece ribbons ribbons.
The most preferable among autistics are the rainbow infinity of various rainbow patterns, like the one as my avatar. The asan one is quite nice too.

Yeah, f**k Autism speaks.... Yeah, I saw that and I also saw the only with a puzzle piece with a crying child inside it- to depict or remind people of the suffering that children "with the autism disorder" "went through" with their disease.

Hmm, yeah- I do like it too- don't really get the significance though I like the rainbow theme- does it have any meaning other than "diverse representations on the spectrum"

I don't like the puzzle piece because although adults do puzzles too, they are mostly for children and the puzzle piece seems to me to exclude adults on the spectrum a bit. What I would personally like is a robot symbol. I manage my autism by following certain programs which I work out for different situations so, for me, a robot would be cool and appropriate. Here's some clip art I adjusted to fit the idea...
